The Geography of Tourism

National Curriculum Logo Key Stage 3, Supporting Unit 19: Tourism-good or bad?

A day of individual and group discussion, investigation and observation of one of Norfolk's largest tourist attractions.

Your day may include

  • An exploration of Sheringham Station and the Railway's role in the development of the town.
  • Collecting information on the North Norfolk Railway as both a tourist & a heritage centre and it's impact on the environment.
  • A survey on all three stations along the line.
  • Written observations on the landscape and environment.

The day begins at Sheringham Station at 9.30 and finishes at Holt Railway Institute at 2pm
